Firstly I'd like to thank those people
who took the plunge and called us following our last
newsletter. We were literally inundated with calls thanks especially to our ever
expanding fraternity of clients from Perth.
The Theta Growth Fund closed the 2010 calendar year up 15.3%
after fees (12.2% net to investors
after profits). This compares favourably with a "2.6%
fall throughout 2010 in the Australian Sharemarket
benchmark index" as reported in the Weekend
Australian on Jan 1-2 2011.
We're excited to announce that Theta
Trading is now in it's 10th year & Theta
Capital Investments will celebrate its 3rd anniversary
of managing funds this March with
a compound annual growth rate of 110%pa in funds under
management.
We're also pleased to announce that Theta's Sharpe ratio
has increased to 2.05 for the 12 months ending Dec 2010.
The
Sharpe Ratio is a measure of how much additional return
you are receiving for the additional volatility of holding a
risky asset over a risk-free asset - the higher the number
the better. It is generally accepted that a Sharpe ratio of
1 or better is good, 2 or better is very good.

The Theta Platinum evenings are coming up on Wednesday, March 2nd in Melbourne and
Wednesday, March 9th in Sydney. These events are a great
opportunity for qualifying Platinum members to come along
and listen to how the Fund has performed and to hear our
predictions about the future of the Fund based on our
interpretation of market risk. It provides a great
opportunity for you to ask questions about your investment
results and to simply network with like minded people.
Further details about these events will follow shortly.
Finally, congratulations on your solid results for 2010
